Camp Crosspoint is a camp with a desire to reach people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Camp Crosspoint began October 3, 2015.  The camp began with a dream and a prayer. Harold Smith (current Assistant Director), approached JT Thompson (current Director), about joining him in starting a camp, since Camp Charis was closing. Harold had been on staff with Camp Charis for several years as the Assistant Director. After meeting together with our families several times and praying together about what God would have us do, we decided to take a leap of faith and start Camp Crosspoint. There was great excitement but a lot of ifs. We were not afforded any of the donor’s information or other information from Camp Charis. We were starting from ground zero. As we approached the bank for a loan we were asked questions about how the camp would run and all we could tell them was “we don’t know” we are trusting God in all of this.

God is and was faithful. The bank approved our loan and we started Camp Crosspoint with a prayer and desire for God to use this camp for His glory. We desire to impact the lives of many children and youth with the gospel by providing a camp that would be intentional and practical. We desired to partner with churches to walk alongside them in reaching people with the Gospel and making disciples.

We have had our ups and downs. There were times when we did not know where the money was coming from or how we were going to pay bills, but God always sent what we needed when we needed it. God has allowed us to see Him do some amazing things. We have seen camp grow and we have had the privilege to see many give their lives to Christ.

Since 2015, we have seen God grow our camps, grow partnerships that we are so thankful for, stretch us, provide for us, and move in mighty ways.

We want groups to come to camp and experience a time of renewal and refreshment in their walk with Christ and for groups to grow together.  We desire to open our facilities to others who wish to use our facilities to tell others about Jesus Christ and who desire to build unity amongst a group.  We at Camp Crosspoint desire to serve you and your group to the best of our ability and to walk alongside you and your group to help them grow in their relationship with Christ and to develop deeper relationships with each other.

We have programming for all age groups.  We offer summer camp and weekend retreats for children and youth.  We offer some programming for adults.  We desire to see adult groups come to camp and allow us to serve you and help your group grow and develop.  We desire to partner with churches and other groups/organizations to make the name of Jesus Christ known among the nations.  

Our facilities are surrounded by a 60 acre lake, pine trees, and farm land.  Camp offers you an escape from the busyness of everyday life and a time to relax and enjoy God’s creation.
